This idea for these gems came after Chef Johnny had sushi one night. The Chef served him a buckwheat tea (Jun Sobacha) at the end of the meal. Johnny had never had it before and loved the flavor and asked to see the tea, when the Chef presented it and Johnny tasted it on its own he immediately fell in love with the crunch, deep toasted nut like flavor and unique aroma. Johnny took home a bunch and tried using them a bunch of different ways but in the end, simply sprinkled on the surface of the milk chocolate showcased them the best. With that a new favorite in the factory was born.
